Philippine Airlines will mount return flights between Manila and Gasan, Marinduque on March 23 and 27, perfect for tourists who want to experience Moriones Festival, one of the country's longest running Lenten festivals.

Travel time between Manila and Marinduque via airlift only takes about 40 minutes, substantially cutting the land and sea travel between the destinations.

The flight to Marinduque will leave Manila at 5:30 a.m. on March 23 and will depart Marinduque back to the city at 6:50 a.m. On March 27, the Manila-Marinduque plane will leave at 9:30 a.m. and shall return at 11:00 a.m.

To book tickets, the Department of Tourism Region 4B advisess tourists to reach Boac, Marinduque-based Dream Favor Travel and Tours.

This was announced recently by DOT regional director for MIMAROPA Minerva Aldaba Morada after a series of talks with Philippine Airlines and Marinduque government officials. With the reduced travel time, Morada hopes tourists will enjoy their experience and enjoy at its best the Lenten customs and tradition of Marinduque island.
